    Roofing

    Labour Warranty only a myth with Professional Roofers-Flown shinges in less than 3 years of new roof installation We had our roof replaced in June 2015. On sales representative's recommendation, we selected the Premium package offering a 15 year warranty on labour and 40 year warranty on Iko Cambridge shingles. This year the shingles have flown and lifted. We contacted Professional Roofers. The Manager keeps harping that the damage due to high storm winds and is not covered by warranty and if I have the repair work carried out by them, I will end up with a great roof as the shingles will be replace and the roof tuned up an a new repair price of $1,200. Which was reduced to $980.00. I do not agree, should be charged any amount at all as if the job was done well in the first place, this should not have happened on a 3 year old roof. My neighbour shares the roof with me and there has not been any damage. I have asked a written confirmation from the owners on the company that if similar damage was faced by them on their personal property would this be acceptable. It has been nearly a month I have not got any response to this fact. BEWARE AND DO NOT BE FOOLED BY THE LABOUR WARRANTY OF THIS COMPANY AND THEIR WORKMANSHIP AS THEY WILL HIDE BY THE FACT DAMAGE DUE TO ELEMENTS OF NATURE AND NOT THEIR FAULTY WORKMANSHIP. The manager is the one making all decisions and the sales person states only deals with sales any issue should be dealt with by the office. Reading the previous review, I think Professional Roofers uses the same template for all this customers. I have reviewed the previous review and

    Good morning. Unfortunately, our warranty does not cover wind damage. In the case of your property, it was determined that this was the cause of the damage. We do not cover this under our warranty as high winds are unpreventable and cannot be controlled. During the May windstorm, millions of dollars of damage occurred across the GTA to roofs installed by various companies.     Gutter Replacement

    I reached out to several companies to have our gutters replaced and only a few got back to me. Sebastian quickly got in touch to set up a time to provide a quote. While it was slightly higher than the other we received, Sebastian's professionalism led us to choose Professional Roofers. Our neighbours also had their gutters replaced by Professional Roofers and they did a good job there as well. The crew arrived first thing in the morning on the day they were scheduled and were done by early afternoon and even worked on preparing the gutters through a major downpour. We are very happy with the results.

    Repairs

    Had a small leak on my bedroom ceiling. Called to book for an assessment and we had the job done within less then 2days, thx guys! Special thx to the crew for being so clean as well

    Roof

    My parents received a quote that they were happy with. They came and did a great job and it was completed in 1 day. They are satisfied with the service they received from start to finish.

    Great job

    Had to have repairs done, shingles missing and a leak in my kitchen. Professional roofers team was here and fixed the problem all before the week was over! Very timely and professional thanks!

    Repair and shingle roof

    Professional Roofers replaced damaged wood and shingled roof on my parent's home. They cleaned up after before they left. unfortunately I wasn't there when the work was done. I found out later materials were taken back because they were not used and came turned out to be a lot more than the first estimate.

    Please NEVER use this company - poor quality even worse customer service

    Here is my experience with this company and why I suggest you never use them: My roof was replaced by Professional Roofers roughly 3 years ago Upon notifying them that my roof was damaged, not only did they NOT honour the supposed 10 year warranty but they tried to charge me $600 to repair a few shingles. This was by far the most expensive estimate I got from ANY roofing company, let alone the one that replaced my roof. The roofing companies that I brought in to fix my roof mentioned that the previous work was “poor” which likely resulted in pieces coming right off in the first place. They will probably respond to this post with a we're very sorry and please contact our customer care line, but please note that I've reached out to them and there has been zero response. If you want to use a roofer that has bad craftsmanship, terrible pricing and even worse customer service, then this company is for you.

    Horrible experience, would never recommend to anyone

    Professional Roofers.com (PR) is a highly unethical company that we would not recommend anyone do business with. They charged my wife and me $480 in advance, and despite performing no services, they only refunded half the amount. Because of their shady business practices, we submitted a formal complaint directly to the Better Business Bureau (BBB). The summary of our complaint is that PR charged us in advance, lost our record when asked about cancelling, then told us cancelling should be fine, and finally sent workers anyway after we had hired an alternate roofer (because they could do a permanent fix that day, instead of only a temporary fix by PR). We are reasonable people – we called PR twice to ask about cancelling hours before they showed up and if they had told us no, that would have been fine. Only after they told us cancelling should be no problem did we hire another roofer. PR then said because workers showed up (despite leaving moments later without having done work), they would only refund half our payment. They then wouldn’t let us talk to a manager and threatened us not to call back or they would withhold the whole payment! It makes obvious their offers to “come visit our office at any time” are totally disingenuous. We never agreed to this “settlement” and subsequently filed a formal complaint with the BBB given they withheld half our payment. PR was unable to respond to any of the issues we raised, instead insisting that they followed the process in their “repair service agreement”. Here’s the problem – there WAS NO REPAIR SERVICE AGREEMENT. We never signed anything nor agreed to any such process or policy, and naturally PR was unable to provide evidence of any agreement. Perhaps just as importantly, this whole dispute revealed a lot about PR. You can tell a lot about a company’s values by the way they deal with unhappy customers. Just look at their responses to the recent negative Homestars reviews. Every response is a combination of denials (“this doesn’t sound anything like us”), accusations (“provide truthful feedback and not falsehoods”) and general condescension (“this user has failed to understand the terms and conditions”). Think about whether this is the kind of company you would want to hire: one where if a dispute arises, they will never make it right because in their mind, the customer is always wrong. During our interactions through the BBB, PR refused to accept any responsibility but could never actually explain why it behaved the way it did, including refusing to let us speak with a manager and threatening us not to call back. We did NOT accept their response to the complaint, and it is now on their BBB record (along with two other recent complaints). We expect their response to this review to be more of the same. Hopefully, this review sheds light on the type of company they are. Buyer beware.

    Roofing Repair/Replacement

    This company is horrible. The ONLY reason i went back to them is that they gave me 2 x $100 gift CARDS. I had to get my roof repaired this year due to a windstorm. Paid $1000 out of pocket. But could not use the first $100 gift card because it has to be over $2000. and they only told me this after. They sent me another gift card to be used the "next time" i need service. Great $200 bucks towards my next purchase. No where does it say that you can only use ONE. No where does it say it has to be over a certain amount. 3 weeks later we had the MASSIVE windstorm and it took 90% of my shingles off. Had to replace the whole roof. No only did they NOT warrant the work they did 3 weeks prior, they would not allow me to use the gift cards AND they tried to charge me MORE than the total that they gave me. Never again will i use this company and i do NOT recommend them.

    Perfect Roofing Job

    I needed a new roof after the wind storm, so I was referred to Adam Witte from a friend of mine. Arranging time for a quote was fast and easy. He came out explained everything and assured me the job would be done on time and with the highest quality. He also explained to me the difference between cheap roofing tiles and good quality roofing tiles. We booked an installation date and everything happened so smoothly without a hitch. Adam checked in with me after the job was complete to see how everything went. Great customer service. Would definitely refer him to my friends and family.
