We had a minor leak in our basement. Called RCC, who came quickly to give us a quote for internal waterproofing with a sump pump. They started the work a few weeks later. Instead of installing a sump pump, the crew recommended connecting the weeping tile to an existing floor drain. Not knowing any better, I agreed and the work was completed. Less than two weeks later, during the very heavy rainfall in Toronto, not only did the waterproofing in that room fail (all the concrete above the weeping tile was soaking wet), but water came up through the floor in another part of our basement which has never leaked before. None of our neighbours had this problem. I called RCC who were understandably busy and after a few days they sent someone out. He was really nice and answered our questions. He tested the floor drain and confirmed that it was not blocked. It seems that the water came up either from the storm sewers (and therefore the weeping tiles connected to it) and from the ground because the water tables were so high from the huge rainstorm. We were told that there's nothing that can be done in a storm like that. Overall I can't give a higher score because we were not told about any of the risks before we agreed to spend this much money. Their website and sales staff promise dry basements - I now know that there is no such thing as waterproof.

RCC recently completed waterproofing of a section of my basement. They also installed a sump pump. Rick was my customer service rep and was a pleasure to work with. He even made a 2nd visit to my home to help tweak the plan when I had questions about the proposed location of the sump pump discharge. The crew was very friendly and happy to answer questions as the job progressed. They left the area neat and tidy and explained what was necessary for maintenance. RCC is licensed to act as a contractor for the City of Toronto rebate on sump pump installations so I will be eligible for a $1200 reimbursement on the cost of the project.

They came, did the work and the leak seemed to be fixed. The first major rain storm we had water in the basement again. I have been trying to arrange for them to come take a look, but it's like pulling teeth. They don't call you back. It's been 3-4 weeks and I'm no closer to having a resolution to something they guarantee. They have now called back and are coming to fix the issue. I will update as I see progress.

May 30, 2013 Peter and his team finished waterproofing at my home. They did an excellent job. Everything was done professional, high quality, neat, friendly and extremely hardworking. I would highly recommend RCC. It worth the price to spend money on leaky basement. Well done Peter and crew.

Rob O'Donnell was the on site worker. He presented as polite, knowledgable and professional. All work was performed in a timely manner and all plants and the downspout were put back after the job. clean up was excellent. Rob explained all aspects of the job. I would recommend the company to my friends.

We were having water leakage through the concrete foundation of our approx 100 yr old house. RCC was recommended by a neighbour who had substantial work done by them a few years ago. We had to wait a few weeks after we signed up due to their busy schedule but once they started the crew worked hard every day to complete the job. Overall very happy with the work and price was better than some other quotes we had.
