    Crack Repair

We had a crack in our foundation and had RCC out to quote the job. The sales person was great and knowledgeable. He recognized we needed not only the crack fixed but a window well installed to ensure no further leaks. We did have to wait a few weeks for the quote and a little longer than planned for the repair it was worth it. The guys on the job (Chris and his partner) were very professional and were done in a few hours.

Lowering basement (underpinning 2 sides abd benching the other 2)

We started exploring the option of lowering our basement after we found out that we could not install any flooring other than carpets ( which we did not want). We interviewed a few companies and realized this was a complicated business. Thus we turned to some of the bigger names in the business. We selected RCC as they were willing to work around our requirements as opposed to the other underpinning contractors telling us what they did and we had no option. This was tough call to make as the other companies only did underpinning but RCC seem to specialize more in water proofing and did underpinning as well. So while the other companies were up-front with what needed to be done and provided the service for a fee, RCC needed to research things like what is required to get a permit, how you go about getting a consent from the neighbour ( as ours is a semi-detached house) and we had to do these ourselves. There was comfort in knowing that there was no collusion but there was the hassle of making a few trips to the city hall to get the required papers. RCC was very cooperative with respect to changing the contract to indicate the liability coverage for us and for the neighbour. This initial stage of the project took at least two month to get resolved at which stage we signed the contract and paid our deposit. The work began exactly on schedule Oct 3, 2012. The crew was very friendly and knowledgeable and had supervisor by the name of Michael. They worked from 8 to 4 each day and left every evening leaving the area clean. A few adjustment had to be made with respect to the position of the new steel pillars and RCC worked with the engineers to get this right as well as meet our needs. We were promised that the work would take 4 to 6 weeks. Thanks to the knowledgeable team and the fact there were no surprises once the digging was done, the job was finished on Oct 29, 2012.

    External Waterprooing

Kurt , your crew arrived right on schedule at 8 am this morning. The job took longer than expected due to rocks encountered in the soil. I was very impressed with the three RCC crew members who did the work. They were all very pleasant and provided me with a lot of technical information. They were very considerate of my property and that of my neighbor. Thanks for the excellent work provided by your company.

    Basement Waterproofing

I want to pass the word along that RRC Waterproofing is the BEST company I have ever had the pleasure of working with for fixing foundation cracks and basement leaks. My initial consult with Jamie Hallett was informative, educational and very professional. After 5 minutes talking with him he had gained my trust because of his product knowledge, assessment of the issue and solution to our problem. At that point the great price he quoted was just icing on the cake! The repair crew was headed up by Eddie who was punctual and made sure to take care of our and our neighbours properties while working on the foundation cracks. A few hours later the crew had finished the repair, cleaned up and it was hard to tell they were even there. I highly recommend RCC Waterproofing for all your home, basement and foundation concerns. Be sure to ask for Jamie Hallet!!

    wet basement

Nader Moros came to our home this morning to look at a leak we had in the basement. He quickly identified it as a plumbing problem not a foundation issue. He would NOT take any money. Very honest and would use him again if needed. Nader was on time and very professional. Give him 20 out of 10!

THANK YOU RCC FOR SAVING OUR COMPLEX CRISIS!

I am the Vice President on the Board of Directors for our townhouse complex. In the past several years, we have always enlisted RCC to handle our waterproofing issues. Recently, we came into a crisis situation where 30 units needed waterproofing in their basements. Immediately I phoned Jamie who, as usual, came to the rescue. He visited our site on several occasions bringing not only his expertise but his eagle eye in locating cracks in the walls. After Jamie's visits there was a great sense of relief and we were able to forge ahead. Jamie handled our unique and extreme flooding problems in his usual professional and calm manner. He was able to make us understand that our situation - which we deemed as a catastrophe - was fixable and not the end of the world. After all the quotes were written, next came the crew to rectify the problems. When we saw them, it was like the cavalry arriving. We are so thankful to Dominic and his crew...I will miss them when they are gone! Dominic went beyond the call of duty and his craftsmanship is superior to anything I have seen before. I applaud him and his crew and wish all our contractors were like Dominic... my life would be so much easier. In retrospect, RCC will always be our number one choice for waterproofing. Jamie, Dominic, Anthony and the crew, in our eyes, are the star employees of RCC.

    External Waterproofing

RCC waterproofed one side of our home in the lower city of Hamilton in September, 2012. The house is over 80 years old, and the access was very narrow. Despite that, the process was quick and efficient, and Sam and his crew were polite and happy to explain the various steps as they went through them. When I had a concern about one area of the work, they were quick to explain the issue to me, and fix it as I requested. Since the job was so recent, I can’t comment on any more, but based on the experience so far, I would definitely call on Richard Greig again if we need further waterproofing on our home.

    Outside wall waterproofing

I called RCC Waterproofing about the water seepage to my basement. Rick Deagazio called back promptly and came the next day after I left the message. Rick quickly assessed the situation, and discussed with me the repair options (inside or outside waterproofing) and the length of the wall that needed to be repaired. On the spot, Rick wrote an estimate where he detailed all work associated with the repair, including removal and re-planting of shrubs. The crew came when they said they would. The crew foreman Mike was courteous, and explained to me the sequence of work and timing of it. Thoughtfully, they put plywood over the neighbors’ window wells to protect them from the construction dirt. When the wall was uncovered and cleaned up, Mike called me to show what the main cause of the seepage was. Considering the weak spot that caused the seepage, he suggested that the area around that basement window be lowered and a window well with a drainage pipe be installed. I agreed, so Mike went to a store, bought the window well and installed it quickly. Before filling the trench, the crew conducted a test, running water through the newly-installed weeping tile and the connection to the existing weeping tile to make sure that the system was not blocked anywhere. The crew completed the job thoroughly, efficiently (in one day instead of the estimated two) and cleaned up the site well before leaving. They even re-installed the landscaping stones. I am happy with the job, the foreman’s suggestion and the 25-years warranty. Thanks RCC!
