My wife and I are very happy with SpringHome and our new HVAC system. We had an old A/C that quit on us and was in the market for a newer more efficient one. I was impressed from day one when Sam (sales) came out to our home to see what we needed. We have a 600 sq. ft. third floor loft that was too hot in the summer and freezing in the winter. I had wanted a separate ductless heat pump for the loft, but Sam suggested that we try out the new A/C and furnace before making a decision on a separate ductless system. He said that the encased A/C coil is a lot more efficient than our older coil, allowing a lot more cold air through. Essentially, Sam did not try to sell us equipment we may not need. Also, Peter (installer) checked the main ducts and he found that a few dampers were not fully opened, thereby restricting some air flow. He adjusted the dampers and with the newer HVAC system, we are getting tons more cooling to the loft. It is now a space that is much more comfortable and consequently is now being utilized a lot more by the whole family.
The installers were polite, experienced and professional. They arrived early and Peter the senior guy did a site walk through and explained what will be taking place the rest of the day. He and Victor then worked diligently for nearly 11 hours putting in an entire HVAC system: A/C, 2 stage furnace, humidifier and air cleaner. They took apart the old system and replaced it with the new. They did not rush any part of the job and they paid careful attention in making sure everything fitted and tested properly. They set down drop cloth and cleaned up so well that even my wife commented on how clean it was after they left. When everything was installed, Peter went through with me all the operation of the new HVAC system.
Last comment is on customer service. I worked with Sam through multiple quotations and each time he was very prompt with emailing the requested adjustments. There was never any sales pressure. I found him professional and knowledgeable. In the end we went with SpringHome because of their reputation and ratings. Even though they were not the cheapest, they were not that far off either. Besides, no one had detailed quotes like SpringHome did. One of our biggest criteria was going with a reliable company that will be around if and when there are issues and not a fly-by-night outfit. As for the rebates, Cheryl in customer care was quick in submitting the info for the OPA rebate. When there was a small issue with the rebate amount, Cheryl fixed it within a few hours. It is rare these days to find that level of commitment to customers. Needless to say, we will be recommending SpringHome to our friends and family.
