    Waterproofing entire basement and sump pump replacement

    I called several companies to get quotes for repair of my sump pump and waterproofing of my basement after several weeks of water pooling in the basement even though it hadn't rained for days before. A few people came out, but one of the only ones to actually take a look at the sump pump and try to see if it was repairable before telling me it needed to be replaced was Tony from Draincom. They run a well oiled machine of a company. From the initial phone call to having an assessor come out to getting the work completed to applying for the city sump pump subsidy, it was all seamless and didn't require much interruption in my schedule. I received several quotes, ranging from $7000-11, 000 and I'm glad I went with Draincom and Tony as they were competitive in their pricing and their work was great. In the pricing, they were able to waterproof my entire basement (approx 750 sqft), install a heavy duty sump pump, and install a new floor drain. They even so kindly cleaned up the area around the window well to see if that might be a source of water entry and left the place cleaner than how they found it.

    Installed hose bip

    Called Draincom for assistance installing a hose bib, Valentyn Borysevych installed it, very professional, friendly and helpful, gave me some tips as well in my house for plumbing, this company is my go to for sure.

    Kitchen sink issues...

    I needed a faucet in my kitchen sink re-installed. Alex from Drain Com was assigned to this job. He was prompt, professional and provided excellent workmanship... I highly recommend this company and Alex!!

    replaced toilet & sink

    As part of a larger bathroom renovation, we needed a toilet moved from one floor to another and a vanity disconnected. Draincom provided professional service from the beginning: someone was there to answer my call and set up an appointment for a free estimate. Our plumber, Val B., arrived on time for the quote and for the job a few days later. He worked efficiently and was easy to communicate with -- and he was also kind enough to correct a separate problem with our shower. (It was a minor issue, but still, he could have charged extra for this but didn't.) Our strongest recommendation is probably in the fact that when we wanted to have our new toilet and sink installed, we called Draincom again and asked for Val. Again he showed up right on time, worked efficiently, cleaned up the work area afterwards, and charged a very fair price. If we have other plumbing needs in the future, Draincom will be at the top of my list!

    Water main shut off replacement

    Draincom replacement my water main shut off, which was leaking, with a new ball valve shut off. The new valve works perfectly and the work was performed relatively quickly. I called around to a number of places before choosing Draincom and their price for this was competitive. One thing I particularly liked was that Yuri asked me to call the city about 15 minutes before he was done to get the curb stop (outside shut-off) turned back on. This minimized the amount of time the water was off for, which was much appreciated. The only negative I can say is that he arrived about 20min after the original scheduled time - but called me within the original window to let me know.

    backwater valve

    I used the company to install a backwater valve on my property - the work was done well, with no problems passing city inspection. All was cleaned up before they left.

    Clogged Kitchen Sink and Faulty Faucet

    Valentyn showed up on time to replace my kitchen faucet and snake out a clogged drain. (I poured some powder done the sink and it basically turned to cement). As it turned out, due to the multiple bends in the pipes and the garberator it was not possible to snake out the clog. Valentyn removed all the piping under the sink and streamlined it so that it would not clog in the future. He must have spent an extra 2 hours and only charged me a nominal additional amount. I will only use Draincom for plumbing from now on.

    Removing roots from the drain pipe

    We called Drain Com due to a clog caused by roots that grew into the sewer pipe. They responded quickly and Vlad came to inspect the very next day. In two days they came to fix the problem: they opened the cement floor in the basement and replaced the pipes. The work was done fast and professionally.

    Toilet replacement

    We recently decided to replace three old Eljer toilets in my house. The first plumbing contractor I contacted didn’t even bother to respond to my messages despite getting high ratings and reviews on Homestars. I subsequently contacted Draincom. What a difference in customer service between the two companies. The lady who took my call at Draincom was very helpful. I was able to book a next-day appointment at 9:00 a.m. for technician Valentyn B. to come to my house to cost out the work and, if I agreed on the price, to do the work straight away. Val called me just before 9 a.m. on the day of the appointment to let me know that he was delayed in traffic. He also gave me an estimated time of arrival, which was nice of him to do so. His work was neat, efficient and professional. The old toilets were carefully removed and three new TOTO toilets installed in good time to my complete satisfaction. I would use him again for my future plumbing needs. Thank you Val.

    faucet, P-pipe and shower cartridge replaced

    I emailed Draincom based on Homestar reviews, received a quick reply and was set up within 48 hours for an estimate on faucet and shower cartridge replacement. Yuriy showed me my deteriorating p-pipe and gave me an estimate which included replacement of that also. Yuriy did a great job - completing the job the same day, in the time he quoted, for the price he quoted. I was very impressed with how clean he left the areas he worked on! He obviously takes pride in a job well done. It's never easy to spend hard-earned money on repairs but at least it was easy to get the job done with Draincom. Thank you Yuriy!
