    Blocked drain in rental apt.

Our tenant blocked our drain very badly and Michael came within a half hour and resolved the issue. He was very trustworthy and allowed me to watch his process while explaining it all. I never felt at any time that I had been taken for a ride! Finding trustworthy trades people is very hard so it was a pleasure to work with this company. Highly recommended!

    Clogged drain

Larry fixed our kitchen drain in about 1 hour. He was very professional and pleasant. We were happy it only cost the quoted $400 and not $700 as discussed if the job required more tools.

    Fixed Dishwasher Hose

Rodents ate through my dishwater hose, making a huge mess and rendering the dishwasher useless. The retailer I purchased it at said it would take 8 weeks to order the part. No thanks. Rather than take the time and risk of finding a generic part and attempting the fix on my own, I just called the pros at Waterworks. They came the next morning to assess the situation, ordered the part that day, it arrived a day later and they were back to finish the job. Best of all, I know the job was done right. Thanks again guys!

    Toilet Replacement

We had an old toilet downstairs that needed replacing. Larry was very courteous and friendly and explained the quote in detail which we found reasonable. We booked an appointment to get it done and Larry was on time and exceptionally neat and tidy in doing the job. Personalized, friendly and efficient service. Will use WaterWorks again in heartbeat.

    Bathroom drainage repair

Larry was on time, knowlegeable, thourough and very near and tidy in work area with non disruption to rhe home. We were facing tearing our our ceiling below to ascertain the cause of the problem which would have meant tjousands in over all repair. But Larry took a methodical apprpach and was able to determine the issue in his first try and move immediately to repair. We were estatic that it turned out to be a relativley simple problem and were not taken advatage of and made to pay much.more than what would ultimately be required to repair. Natasha the cooridanator was also very helpful explaing the process and setting up a time convenient for us. Again.....top rate. Thanks

    Water main shut-off replacement

Had Michael Yuffa, part owner, visit my house, along with an apprentice, to give us a quote and inevitably do the work; Replace the water main shut-off. They were both very professional and efficient. The city turned on the water and the new shut-off valve worked to perfection. Would definitely recommend Waterworks to others. Just as an aside, as much as I understand the same job might have multiple price points due to unforeseen circumstances I don’t understand, when calling around to get prices, why most companies can’t give you a general cost range while clarifying the price is not set in stone. Why would a company want to send out their workers for an appearance fee when they are not guaranteed the work? I don’t take for granted the work plumbers do since they are usually put in a position of urgency by a homeowner, and I am no exception. The work needed to be completed as quick as possible. Waterworks was able to accommodate my needs within a few hours of a phone call and for that I do appreciate them. Arthur

    Dishwasher & Valve Issue

My husband and I were disappointed with my most recent services from Water Works are done with their services. This was the third time we used them over the past few years and even bought into the preferred customer package which allows us 10% services. First of all, 10% off does nothing with their high prices. However, if the service was superb, it wouldn't be so bad. The Call- Called on a Friday at 5pm and they were booked up for the weekend and couldn't send anyone until Monday afternoon. The Job- To repair a copper drain line from our dishwasher and take a look at the water shut off valve. The copper line was replaced with a proper hose easy peasy. 30min job. The cost of the hose at Lowes $24.99 the cost of the job $350 and that's with 10% off for being a preferred customer. Now the lagging issues. First, they could not plug the dishwasher back in. They insisted they needed an extension cord. I called my husband and asked him to buy a grounded extension cord on his way home which in the end wasn't needed as the master electrician that we also had over doing work was able to plug it back in for us. Once plugged in we learned that the dishwasher was not working properly. Called Water Works back and was told we had to wait until Wednesday for someone to come back out. Umm. Nope. Next day late afternoon Michael Y. And his apprentice came back. After insisting multiple times something was wrong with our dishwasher. I had to argue that our dishwasher was fine and that we really think is was something to do with the valve. In the end, it was the valve. And, Michael was able to get the dishwasher plugged in without the use of an extension cord. However, when flushing the toilet that is directly above and connected to the valve it is now making a loud and long flush noise. Not calling them back again. I'll just take the loss this time and call in someone else. I also don't like the pushiness of rating them 10/10 on homestars. It's uncomfortable. We were reminded five times! Twice in person, once over the phone, once via email and once via text message!!! With offers of them sending you "gifts" in doing so. Third time is a charm I guess. This time I told the truth.

    Answer from pro:

Dear Erin,We appreciate your review. We had various challenges to replace your water line.We did come to your home 2 times. When we came the first time the dishwasher was pulled out by someone else. The location of the valve was in an unusually difficult access underneath your cabinetry. We did come out the next day at no charge to you and repaired an additional broken valve.Although the noise upstairs is not related in any way to the repairs in the kitchen, however we would be glad to come out at no charge to see what we can do to resolve that issue. We do appreciate you as repeat client. Please contact Natasha to set up a convenient time.

    pipe removal

Michael Yuffa and his assistant were very professional, courteous, pleasant. Before and after the service, Natasha, the Water Works administrative assistant, called to tell me what to expect and called to follow up on what was done, and whether it was to our satisfaction. We also like to support well-run, small, family-businesses. Yes we would definitely use this company again.
