    Leak repair

    I woke up in the middle of a storm to find a leak dripping onto my bed. I immediately went to the Homestars website to find roofers in my area to call the next morning. I was on the phone before 8 AM. City1 was my first choice, given the quality of the ratings and reviews, but since they're not in my area, I figured I'd better call some local companies, too. My call was answered right away, and the guys fixed my roof that afternoon. They had a job in downtown Toronto in the morning, one in Mississauga after that, then they came to Ancaster at the end of the day. They went on my roof, took pictures to show me exactly what was happening, and repaired the job that day, with no mess. Of the others I called, one in Burlington doesn't come to Ancaster, 1 didn't call back, and 2 called late in the afternoon, one indicating that I had called about a quote for a roof, and maybe we could schedule that. Boy, did I make the right call and pick the right guys!

    entire roof shingles replacement

    City 1 Roof Works provided us with a reasonable quote and thoroughly explained all the options pointing the advantages and disadvantages of each option. Samples of different shingle manufacturers were also brought in to help us to choose the color and pattern that we like. A few days before the actual repair day, a crew came to bring some of the materials needed to the top of the roof. On the day of repair, they took extra care to protect our decorative concrete by covering all the areas that might be damaged. The repair job was done with professionalism and fulfilled all the works that were agreed upon. The repair was also finished in the estimated time that they said would be needed. The surroundings affected by the repair were thoroughly cleaned, removing any debris from the repair. The garbage bin that was brought in to hold all the garbage was also removed when they left our premises. All in all, we are really satisfied with the work and workmanship. Highly recommended.

    New Roof

    I needed a new roof for my older home. I got three estimates, City 1 Roof Works being one of them. Danny was both professional and approachable; he provided the kind of solid information I needed to make a decision and educated me in the process! Danny and his crew got the entire job done in one day and did excellent work. The materials are high quality and I have a guarantee of his workmanship. I highly recommend this company, they deserve your business.

    replacement roof

    After visiting HomeStars website we selected City 1 Roof Works as one of four companies to provide an estimate for a replacement roof for our home. Danny showed up as scheduled, provided all requested insurance documents, warranty information and details of the work to be done. His quote was fair and when it came time for the work to be done there were no surprises. Danny was on-site with his crew. They worked incredibly hard throughout the day, their work was outstanding and the cleanup afterwards was thorough. These are the guys you want.

    Roof Checks

    Danny and his partner was right on time for the appointment, they checked ,did a few repairs on my roof and gave me a very honest opinion. These guys seem to be very hardworking and exhibited through professionalism. Excellent work and keep it up. I would recommend this company for those who are looking for complete totality in roofing

    Complete re-roofing

    Let me preface this by saying that I can be one tough customer. I do my homework, and when I spend thousands of dollars on goods/service, I set the bar pretty high. Danny and his team didn't meet the bar ... they CLEARED it by a mile, exceeding my expectations and standards every step of the way. I wish I could add more stars to this review! I called out three estimates for a whole new roof and City 1 definitely made my 'short list' due to the reviews on homestars.ca and even more impressive -- that Danny replies personally to each one! An outstanding indicator! Danny answered directly when I called*. He happily agreed to provide an estimate and arrived as scheduled two days later*. He spent 30-45mins thoroughly assessing my roof , ON the roof*!! He was immediately likeable: friendly, comfortable, and approachable*. * same can not be said for the other two companies I called. While I was still waiting on the last quote from the third company, Danny's excellent customer service endured. I had him chasing down more answers to my further numerous questions on product, warranty/documentation information. He continually replied right away, and whatever info he didn't have directly at hand, he immediately pursued and kept me promptly informed the whole way along. He was contacting offices and suppliers on my behalf, he was researching and comparing warranties for me, he definitely went the full nine yards and made it clear he was happy to help! At this point, I was entirely impressed with Danny's customer service and honesty, which left the other two companies shamefully in the shadows. With regards to the price, Danny came in significantly lower than the highest quote, and only a stone's throw more than the lowest price. Considering the company with lowest price was also the one with the poorest (nearly insulting) customer handling, I was happy to sign with City 1 for the marginal extra price. I value good treatment quite highly when I shop around. When roofing day came, everyone was on time and worked long and hard. Danny and Chuck and the whole team were just fabulous, in general! Everyone stayed safely harnessed which pleased me, and even at the end of a long hard day, they didn't skimp on the clean-up. My roof and all the details look great, and I have every confidence that the workmanship and quality of the installation will prove over time to be every bit as satisfactory and reliable as the rest of my experience was with them. A whole new roof is a considerable investment, but I am pleased to have spent every penny of it at City 1 where it was so well earned, and my business was appreciated. I genuinely wish everybody's roofing experience could be this good -- and I know it can be if they call Danny! -- so I'll certainly be sure to spread the City 1 love!

    Roof Repair

    I have hired Danny for the past few years to install my Christmas lights. This year he informed me of various problems with my roof that could lead to water leaks and damage. He provided me with pictures of the problems and fixed everything up as soon as the ice was off the roof. I have always been happy with the level of service from Danny and he did a great job on my roof repair! I will definitely recommend City 1 Roof Works!

    Roof Repair

    I called for a quote to fix some shingles the wind had blown off. I got an estimate for $200-250. When Danny arrived he saw how high and steep my roof was and said it would cost $350. He asked me how I'd heard of his company and I mentioned HomeStars and our phone conversation. He agreed to honour his estimate and got right to work. He took pictures to show me some of the damage and the repairs in progress.

When we first talked on the phone I said it was usally 250 for a repair depending on the damage and the access, when we drove up seeing that it was very steep and missing almost a bundle of shingles, that's why I mentioned the increase but she was startled by the 350 so I told her I would give her the same price as if it were a walkable roof because she was from Homestars thanks susy Danny Areia

    Roof leak on my flat roof

    My husband and I have been dealing with a roof leak for 2 months and originally had a different company patch the leak with no luck. We did our homework and called 6 roofing companies in total but City 1 Roof Works were by far the most knowledgeable. For a couple who knows very little about roofs, we felt very comfortable with the explanation Danny and Chuck were able to provide us. They were very professional, showed us multiple before and after pictures and even gave us a 2 year warranty of the work which no other company had offered. I highly recommend this roofing company to anyone and I suggest that you gather estimates from other companies before you meet Danny just so you understand the level of professional and quality workmanship.

    Roof leak repair

    Temp warmed up after a few nasty snow storm in Toronto. One night water poured out of our foyer ceiling and we knew it was a roof leak. Called City 1 Roof Work the next morning based on previous reviews here and Danny answered the phone. He said he can be there in a couple of hrs and he showed up on time. He and his partner Chuck spent 45 mins on the roof to give us a free estimate. We agreed and they came back the next day with some new shingles and pipes and the job was done properly. It has now been about 6 weeks and we have had a few more snow/rain storms and not a drop of water has leaked through. These guys are pros and know what they are doing, and they are easy and honest to deal with. I highly recommend them.
