Home Inspection
I'd spent quite some time trawling homestars for home inspection services. I had read numerous reviews for other home inspections services being provided locally, and decided to go with Mike due to the substantial number of positive and what appeared to genuine reviews. I had a feeling that it would be a money well spent utilizing Mike's homes inspection services (4sight) and decided to proceed. I called Mike to book an initial pre-inspection for a property my wife and I were looking to purchase since we had found our ideal home. However, negotiations were moving fast, so I enquired about a pre-home inspection service rather than a full home inspection. Nevertheless, due to additional time being granted by the sellers, we were fortunate enough to go with the full home inspection and were very pleased with the provision of service. At the onset, I found Mike to be very responsive, knowledgeable and professional. He estimated approximately 2-3 hours and the inspection actually exceeded 3.5 hours with no complains from Mike and no additional charge. Mike is very honest and integrity is very important to us and quality of service. Mike demonstrated this throughout the time we were engaging him, and found him very forthcoming. In my personal opinion, if you can afford to spend 100,000's of dollars on a home ourchase, be sure to use a home inspector such as Mike to ensure your investment is going to be worthwhile and not one that you later live to regret. Mike's rates are reasonable and the quality of service/workmanship is definitely present. I for sure will be recommending Mike to family/friends for home inspection services.
In addition to this, the provided report wasn't as lengthy (25 pages vs 50+ pages) as I assumed it would be. However, there weren't many issues with the home (all minor - thank god), and quality over quantity is much more desired. It's simple, you will not find lots of copy and paste verbiage/jargon that you need to trawl through to understand what the report entails.
Lastly, Mike also encourages the use of his free re-visit service subsequent to the necessary repairs/remediation being carried out! Being a Brit, I will put it blunt - TOP GUY providing a TIP TOP service.
