    Home Inspection

    I had only 2 days to get a home inspection done on a property and found Michael on Homestars. I liked all the great reviews he received, researched his website and thought it was thoughtful and informative. Of the top 4 home inspector companies on homestars, Michael actually picked up his phone to talk to me! Always a good sign that you can make time to answer questions. I also liked that he is the only inspector in his company, and that way I could trust that all the positive reviews he got were regarding his work. Michael answered my questions on the phone and I was glad an online appointment was easily made. He was early for the home inspection and had a very routine way of doing things. I liked that he obviously followed a protocol, starting outside, then basement, working his way up to the attic. It was logical and methodical. I appreciate that quality in a home inspector. Michael was also very easy to talk to, open to any questions I had, and did also offer thermal imaging as part of his home inspection (rather than as an additional cost). I believe thermal imaging should just be part of the standard for home inspections, not something only the people who could afford it could have! Michael went everywhere, the roof (thankfully most of the snow had melted!), the crawlspace in the basement, the attic and everywhere in between! I liked that he cleaned up after himself after coming out of the attic to ensure he left the space as tidy as he found it. I do not hesitate to recommend him and appreciate all the advice he gave on what we had to repair. It helped with our negotiations after the inspection! Thank you again for a great job Michael! I may have to ask if you could come around to the property again when the owners repairs certain things you suggested! May

    Home inspection

    The inspection was incredibly thorough and detailed, Michael was amazing. We went over every detail of the house, and he explained in great detail our next steps for addressing any issues found. He even showed us in detail how to use the gas fireplace, everything from how we would stop and start it to where we could buy an add-on fan. When we were finished, we received a great report summarizing everything we'd went over and then diving into detail on every aspect of the house. This is a great service by a personable, professional inspector with years of experience under his belt. I felt extremely confident that we were in good hands, and I'd recommend him to any of my friends and family.

    Home Inspection

    Michael was very thorough and very knowledgeable. A true professional with obviously years of experience... Not afraid to get dirty and gave great advice about solutions to some of the issues he uncovered. Highly recommend.

    Home Inspection

    I had the pleasure of having Michael Mischke conduct a Maintenance Inspection on my town house last night – after discovering water damage on my ceiling. I wasn’t sure if a plumber or a roofer was needed, so decided the best course of action was to have my house inspected top to bottom by a professional who could advise where I should turn. Absolutely the best decision I ever made, and the best phone call to 4 Sight Inspections. After booking my appointment online, Michael called to follow up my details (within 45 minutes of submitting the form) and upon hearing of my problem – was able to fit me in for an earlier appointment. As he said – you don’t want to mess around with water. Michael arrived promptly at 5, and proceeded to spend over 3.5 hours going over every aspect of my house, taking photographs, using moisture meters and thermal imaging to detect said water and making notes and recommendations. He was in the attic (the source of the water) and when he closed it up – he used a dust buster to clean up the stray insulation that had followed him out of the crawl space. I was fairly close to frantic (an understatement) when Michael arrived, and by the time he left I was reassured that while the water IS an issue, it’s a fairly common problem at this time of year, and let me know what I need to do to fix it in the spring. Several other issues were noted and more importantly explained to me in very easy to understand terms. He really went above and beyond – and with a great sense of humour and great attitude. To top it all off, my detailed report arrived within an hour of his departure from my home….. I’m not sure how he managed that while travelling from Pickering to Mississauga! Extremely satisfied with Michael and 4 Sight – and have already recommended him to two other home owners.

Considering what you were going through at the time you kept your cool. Just a note though, the source of the water is ice damming, not the attic itself. The attic is just the spot where the water is entering your home and flowing down the walls to your lower ceiling. This year especially it has been very common as it has been a very cold winter. Ice damming can cause very serious problems starting with the water penetration itself. Follow all the advice given and you should be ok. On a final note: the report is easily sent, even when I am travelling or at my next inspection, because my assistant finalizes all the details and sends it out.     Home inspections

    I had Michael as my home inspector. He was very friendly easy to talk to and explained everything as he was looking through the house. I would recommend him to anyone looking for an inspector

    Pre-Purchase Home Inspection

    Michael was fabulous. He arrived on time, was extremely professional and educational. He spent almost 4 hours on site and answered all of our questions, he actually welcomed and encouraged them. I have already recommended 4Sight to a friend!

    Home inspection

    Michael did a fantastic job. He was very thorough in his inspection and looked at everything I wanted plus some. The price was well worth it as he found some issues that needed immediate attention and a few that needed to be addressed in the near future as a result I will be renegotiating the purchase price of the home. It paid for its self.

    Home Inspection

    First home inspection I've done, and I only have good things to say about Michael. Very professional, courteous and thorough. The inspection was not rushed at all, and worth every penny. I could could several tips that would save me thousands of dollars in the future that Mike recommended. I would highly recommend 4Sight for his attention to detail, knowledge and foresight :)
