    Home inspection

From our first contact with Mike he was incredibly responsive and knowledgeable. As our first home inspection, Mike was patient and answered every question we had (which was many) with ease and thoroughness. He left no stone un-turned. His knowledge, professionalism and passion for his work is unparalleled.

    Answer from pro:

TRN, thank you very much. I do appreciate your kind words. Yes, you had many questions, however, this is your first home inspection and first home. You should have many questions and it was my pleasure to help you with answers. I do hope you enjoy the home and please feel free to contact me with any other questions you may have. Thank you again. home inspection of our condo unit

We are planning to do some renovation work in our condo, so we decided to do a home inspection to resolve any issues while our contractor will be onsite anyways. Steve from 4sight Inspections was polite, courteous and very professional. As he walked me through the entire condo, he gave me clear explanations on the issues he pointed out. That same night, I received a more detailed report in PDF format that provided me with annotated photos that Steve took during his inspection and these were accompanied by explanatory diagrams and illustrations and brief explanations of all the issues he found. We found minor issues that were building-related that we've since pointed out to our property management. As well, we now have a small bucket-list of items that we're taking care to resolve. Post-renovation and in the years to come, we look forward to dealing with 4sight again.

It is so true, what we as trained inspectors see during the inspection can sometimes amaze our clients who actually live in the property. I appreciate your feedback Elena, and I do hope we can do work for you in the future. Good luck with the renovations, All the best. Thank you again. Steve Blayney. 4Sight Inspections Inc.

This is my first house purchase and first home inspection. Steve met my agent and I at the house and he immediately went to work, while explaining everything. Fantastic experience.

    Home Inspection

We called 4Sight after having read so many positive reviews on homestars. Their simple and inexpensive (relative to some of the other home inspectors we had looked at) cost table was also a contributing factor. We purchased a home in Toronto and waived the inspection condition. It was freshly renovated and looked really great. After having moved in and "looking under the hood" a little bit we discovered several issues, not the least of which was the shoddy workmanship that went into this renovation. We had improperly sealed air ducts (gaping holes in some parts and not connected to the vents in others!). We also discovered that bugs were getting into the basement (our "finished" basement) and it was evident that moisture was also seeping in around the walkout basement door - a small stretch of green mould had appeared on the interior drywall beneath the door. I called 4Sight and spoke with Mike who was very personable on the phone and in person. Mike took his time inspecting the exterior of the house and he explained where we needed to seal holes and cracks with caulking. We also need to repair our eavestroughs and add a couple of downspouts. The things we really worried about seem minor in comparison to the fact that Mike pointed out that we have a horizontal foundation crack (and repair) in the basement. Mike advised us to monitor the mortar repair for crumbling and to have a structural engineer assess it if we become concerned. Mike tested for water/moisture and did find pockets around the basement door. He advised us to seal the walkway and entry with mortar and caulking. We were very happy with Mike's patience and expertise. He even offered to come back in the winter to test the ducts for leaks (free of charge) as the ones behind the drywall are not amenable to this test in the summer. Very happy with the experience and the report that was emailed to me shortly after Mike left. Mike was excellent, very knowledgable and offered helpful advice. A+

    Answer from pro:

Jer&jee. Thank you very much. There are many people buying without inspections these days and it is risky. In your case, although there was a horizontal crack, it had been shored up with an adequate repair but there is no way of knowing if the repair will hold. So, please do watch it. If the bolts and plates come loose or you see the mortar along the crack separating then call in the big guns and have it assessed and repaired properly. Not a cheap repair but it may become necessary. I do hope all works out for you and I am here for you if you have any other questions or concerns. Thank you again. Home Inspection with Steve at 4Sight Inspections Inc.

We HIGHLY recommend Steve Blayney from 4Sight Inspections Inc. We first met Steve when we 'almost' purchased a home a few months ago until Steve discovered the entire basement had 9x9 asbestos tiles that were covered with laminate (even the furnace room - that should have been the first red flag to us). We were not comfortable moving forward with the home purchase and stopped the inspection at that point. Fast forward a few more months, we found another home and called Steve for the inspection on that one. Thankfully, everything went really well and we will be moving into our new home in 2 weeks. We really enjoyed working with Steve. He was so detailed in his report and helped explain so many things to us. He is super friendly, easy going and very professional. We cannot thank Steve enough for everything. We truly appreciate it and will recommend Steve and 4Sight Inspections to everyone in need of a home inspection! Companies like 4Sight Inspections deserve to be recognized for being the best at what they do and for providing outstanding customer service.

I really appreciate your review Michele and Goran. Honesty, integrity and great customer service goes a long way in our business. I have learnt over the years everyones comfort level varies from person to person. While one client may walk from a property because of mold in the attic, another may choose to remediate the attic when they move in. At the end the day the decision was both of yours, congrats on the new property. It was a pleasure working on 2 inspections, even better, meeting both of you! I hope you both enjoy your beautiful home and swimming pool, please contact us for anything you may need in the future. Thank you again. Steve Blayney. 4Sight Inspections Inc.

    Home Inspection

Michael has done an outstanding job at inspecting our home. Being a firs time home buyer, it was important for us to get a good inspector and do a thorough investigation on things we should watch out for with the house. There's never a guarantee, but having some level of peace of mind and knowing what to look for was important for us. Michael was the first home inspector I have ever dealt with, and he has set the standard very high as far as I am concerned. Michael was very thorough and explained everything that he inspected each step of they way. He was also very friendly and approachable, which is also very important for a new home buyer, as we tend to ask a lot of questions - some less smart than others :) I will definitely recommend Michael and 4Sight inspections to anyone looking for a home inspection, and he is the guy I intend to call next time I need one done. 11 out 10. Thank you, Michael!

Thank you so much for your kind words Jacob. I appreciate everything and will be here for you as long as you own this house as well as when you are ready for the next one. You mentioned "some less smart than others" referring to your questions. I would remind you that there are no such thing as a stupid question but there are most definitely some stupid answers. I will always take the time to provide real answers to all of your important questions. Thank you again. Michael Mischke, 4Sight Inspections Inc.

    Home Inspection

I would highly recommend Mike from 4 Sight. I had a really good experience with Mike who was very thorough throughout the inspection and answered all the questions I had. Mike arrived early for the inspection and began the inspection of the exterior of the house. I walked with him throughout the inspection and he pointed out some immediate concerns and some not so immediate ones.

    Answer from pro:

Joseph, it was my pleasure. It does not matter if it is a $0.49 repair or a $49,000 repair Everything gets documented and discussed so you have a clear understanding of what you are buying. I do thank you for taking the time to post a review and am here for anything you may need in the future. Thank you again. Michael Mischke, 4Sight Inspections Inc.
