The property is a bungalow constructed with solid masonry (brick) exterior walls. In 2024, part of the exterior wall in the corner was reconstructed. However, the repair did not properly address moisture control, and the impacted corner has mold issues caused by the installation of a polyethylene vapor barrier in an uninsulated solid masonry wall.
A report from a licensed specialist (available upon request) identified the following Corrective Measures (Conceptual Only; the Most Suitable Solution Requires Further Detailed Analysis and Calculations): Provide a Complete Insulated Wall System 1) Install compatible insulation (e.g., spray foam) 2) Incorporate vapor control as part of the insulation system
Scope of work:
1)Identify the appropriate design of the Complete Insulated Wall System, including the types of materials, wall structure, etc.
2)Remove the drywall from the wall and the moist area on the ceiling and dry the area
3)Install the insulation and the vapor barrier as per the design
4)Reinstall and re-finish the drywall to match the surrounding area

We’re looking for a professional to spray foam insulate a very small area under the extension of our house to cover an exposed water pipe. The pipe was chipped/exposed during previous work by someone else and needs to be properly insulated.
Key details:
•This is a very small job — just enough spray foam to fully cover and protect one pipe
•Access is between the houses and is clear and easily accessible
•No demolition or prep required beyond the insulation itself
•Urgent timing: this is a water pipe, and with colder weather coming, we need it protected ASAP

Hi,
I'm looking to install ~224 sq feet (28 linear feet) of R20 insulation in unfinished basement in Markham townhome built in 2019. This new insulation will replace my old insulation that has already been removed from basement walls. See picture attached that shows old insulation that has been removed. Could you let me know how much it will cost?
