Our ceiling started leaking after the big snow storm last week, after doing some investigation we noticed is must be coming from the roof, there must be a leak from the gutter that allows water to go behind the building skin.

there was ice build up on the roof that melted but clogged the eaves through and cause the leakage through the room ceiling

Think this job best done in spring when the snow is gone but I have leaking issues into the room on the 2nd floor when we have big storms / ice damning. I’d be looking to put a winter guard on the upper roof (perhaps the whole upper roof if makes sense), seal the outer part to ensure no leaking in the future. Also on the first floor roof above the front door I have water that comes down the brick wall and creates icicles beside the front door so that roof needs waterproofing
